We are so very privileged to welcome the experience and legacy of Michael C. Jeffreys, PMP to strengthen our organization’s future as a member of the Board of Directors.
Michael joins the Board with more than three decades of experience spanning aviation fuels operations, program delivery, and mission-critical energy infrastructure. His career reflects a combination of hands-on technical expertise and high-level strategic leadership within the fueling industry.
His journey began in the United States Air Force, where he developed a foundational understanding of fuels operations in demanding, real-world environments. From there, Michael advanced into field systems roles, supporting early fuel automation technologies and commissioning Automated Tank Gauging systems across geographically diverse and technically complex locations, including Alaska.
Over time, Michael progressed from field execution into program and portfolio leadership, holding key roles with organizations such as Weston Solutions, AMEC, and now Pond & Company, where he serves as Senior Vice President of Energy. In this role, he provides enterprise-level leadership for fuels capabilities, guiding strategy, driving performance, and ensuring disciplined program execution across complex project portfolios.
Michael’s experience managing hundreds of fuel system projects ranging from design and repair to large-scale infrastructure development, has positioned him as a trusted leader in the defense fuels community. His expertise includes oversight of IDIQ and task-order programs, cost and schedule controls, contract negotiation, and compliance with critical industry standards such as API and UFC requirements. Just as importantly, he has built and led high-performing teams, developed program infrastructure, and established quality and safety systems that enable consistent, reliable delivery at scale.
Beyond his technical and leadership credentials, Michael brings a deeply personal connection to NPMC and the broader fueling community. His prior involvement with the organization, combined with a family legacy recognized through the Order of the SPR, reflects a long-standing commitment to advancing the aviation fueling industry. This continuity of service and dedication underscores the values that NPMC seeks to uphold as it grows its impact.
Throughout his career, Michael has earned recognition for his contributions, including the NPMC Elvis “Mac” Fishburn Fellow Award and his induction into the Order of the SPR, honors that speak not only to his professional accomplishments but also to the respect he has earned among peers and partners.
As NPMC continues to expand its role across military and commercial fueling communities, the addition of Michael’s perspective, operational credibility, and strategic insight comes at an important time. His ability to connect field-level realities with enterprise-level decision-making will help guide the organization as it navigates new opportunities and challenges in an increasingly complex energy landscape.
The Board of Directors plays a critical role in shaping the direction and impact of NPMC. With Michael’s appointment, that leadership is further strengthened by a professional who understands the industry from the ground up and who has consistently demonstrated the ability to lead it forward.
