The National Petroleum Management Corporation (NPMC) is a non-profit, educational and professional membership “service oriented” society dedicated to providing professional status for qualified fuel handlers. NPMC collects, interprets, and disseminates information relating to safe, efficient and cost effective petroleum operations and maintenance support. The association encourages industry – government dialogue to achieve these objectives.

MISSION…

Our mission is to provide a highly motivated professional work force through training and career enhancement opportunities designed to reduce personnel turnover, and eliminate the potential for accidents and fuel quality mishaps. To advance knowledge of the science of petroleum handling. To promote the highest degree of operational excellence and personnel efficiency in the operations and maintenance of fuel servicing equipment and facilities. To exploit cutting edge technology that significantly enhances both safety and quality and to become the voice of the fuelhandler.

VISION…

Our vision is to become the “go to” knowledge base foundation through a “world class” training and certification program. To preserve the history of the fuel handling profession and the memory of services rendered by exceptional and dedicated men and women in the petroleum profession. To develop a spirit of cooperation and mutual understanding between the NPMC and other petroleum associations and agencies requiring fuel servicing support. To foster favorable relations which earn recognition by the airlines, civil/federal aviation, military services, petroleum equipment manufacturers, and the FBO’s and service companies involved in aviation fuel support.

Promote safety in all aspects of fuel handling operations and maintenance through recognized standards. Create an environment for people to network and ethically discuss problems of common interest, and to exchange their ideas and views on needs and concerns effecting the fuel servicing industry. Support, endorse and encourage participation in programs designed to promote excellence in fuel management.

GOALS…

Recognize and reward those who make outstanding contributions to safety and efficiency of fuel support operations. Publish a professional periodic newsletter (The Fuel Handler) to keep members up to date on activities relating to a wide variety of petroleum handling operations and other items of interest. Provide on-line job search and placement. Work in harmony and complement those organizations which have standards affecting various aspects of the fuel handling profession. Assist members to develop technical and managerial skills in all areas of petroleum operations through professional development programs. Provide an environment for personal growth and management expertise through active participation in association educational opportunities. Foster professionalism through a training and certification program.
